As a Security Engineer at JioStar, your day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse and highly impactful. You will perform comprehensive security testing of web, Android, and iOS applications to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams from the very beginning of the feature design phase through to final implementation is a core part of this role. You will integrate secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, develop creative and practical attack scenarios to uncover hidden threats, and define the overall threat landscape from product ideation to architecture. Additionally, you will proactively identify platform-wide vulnerabilities, provide actionable remediation guidance to developers, and take ownership of critical security tasks. Continuous learning is highly encouraged, and you will have the opportunity to build expertise across multiple security domains, including cloud, application, and operating system security, while driving automation to accelerate vulnerability detection.

- Security Tooling: Proficiency with both manual and automated security testing tools to effectively identify vulnerabilities.
- Product Flow Security: Solid understanding of common product flows, such as payment gateway integrations, OAuth, and multi-factor authentication mechanisms.
- Programming & Scripting: Knowledge of programming and scripting languages like Python, Java, PHP, C, C++, SQL, JavaScript, Ruby, NodeJS, or Go is highly beneficial for code reviews and automation.
- Automation Mindset: A passion for automating repetitive security tasks to accelerate vulnerability detection and integration.
